Welcome to 'Tracing the Rails', a captivating documentary series that invites viewers to journey through the heart of Sussex’s railway heritage.
Currently we are filming Episode 3, illuminating the fascinating history of the now vanished Shoreham to Horsham railway line, affectionately referred to as The Steyning Line.
Join our host, Stephen Cranford, acclaimed from BBC Radio Sussex, as we uncover hidden stories, engage with local communities, and reveal visuals of the once-thriving Steyning Line. Expertly directed by Chris Kirk and produced by Lou Partridge and supported by Mike Jaimes, who are proud to be joining forces with Stephen.
The most exciting news is that the series is going to be broadcast on TV! Watch this space for news.

Tracing the Rails is coming to Henfield!
Tracing the Rails is coming to Henfield for a special live-filming event at The Old Railway Pub in Henfield.
Monday, 2nd December, from 3 PM to 9 PM
This is your chance to share your personal and first hand memories of the Steyning Line. The event has a strong focus on Henfield and Partridge Green in particular, so please come only if you have first hand stories or items from that portion of the line.
The more outrageous the story or the more interesting the item, the better, but please be prepared to back up your story with fact or evidence. Bring any railway memorabilia you have to do with The Steyning Line, photos, tickets, timetables, or other artefacts—and join us for a fun, nostalgic afternoon and evening.
The interviews will be filmed for an upcoming episode of Tracing the Rails, so please be prepared for being interviewed and filmed, and let’s celebrate the rich history of our local railway together. Think Antiques Roadshow, but instead of antiques, it's the local railway!
Meet the presenters of Tracing the Rails and enjoy a pint in this historic pub, which is just a few metres from where Henfield Station once stood. No booking necessary, just turn up, buy yourself a drink and be ready to share.
Who knows, you may even end up on telly!
