Steyning Festival - Episode 3 Plus Q&A with the Team
Welcome to 'Tracing the Rails', a captivating documentary series that invites viewers to journey through the heart of Sussex’s railway heritage.
We have just completed Episode 4 for YouTube and Episode 23-27 for Rewind TV, illuminating the fascinating history of the now vanished Shoreham to Horsham railway line, affectionately referred to as The Steyning Line.
Join our host, Stephen Cranford, acclaimed from BBC Radio Sussex, as we uncover hidden stories, engage with local communities, and reveal visuals of the once-thriving Steyning Line. Expertly directed by Chris Kirk, produced by Lou Kirk-Partridge and co-presented by our wonderful transport historian Mike Pope-Jaimes, who are proud to be joining forces with Stephen.
Tracing the Rails Community...
As part of our journey with the "Tracing the Rails" project, we are inviting you, the community to contribute your unique pieces of history. If you have photographs, personal stories, interview accounts, or even historical footage related to The Steyning Line, especially from Southwater to Horsham, please do get in touch.
Your contributions not only enrich the narrative, but also ensure that these precious memories are preserved. All materials will be properly credited, honouring your valuable contribution. We currently need photographs, film and stories from Henfield to Horsham. Please consider becoming a patron and click the sponsorship button above!
